Dr. Carlin is an economist, not an atmospheric and meteorlogical expert. I thought we were going to get away from ideological bantering and on to something of theosophical interest at some point here.

I appreciate your kind word, but I really am only a fellow traveler, willing to share experience, not particularly wise, perhaps. It is generally acknowledged in theosophical circles that the ascended masters are in fact on other planes of existence…

Very good question--one of the fundamental debates. I am a seeker myself, so I don't pretend to give any instruction. The two major schools of thought that I boil down in this question are: the mainstream theosophical esoteric tradition, which gener…

My ancestry is nordic so I thought I wi=ould note along these lines that the word Yule derives from anglo saxon "ye' wheel"; which transated literally means the sun relents, or turns back. The reason I mention this in conjunction with Jeff's post is…

I believe Steiner died in 1925, before the Nazi (national socialist) party was developed.

"Conveyed with respect and consideration" being the operative words. Eighth grade bullying is neither conveying respect nor consideration. Mr. Carlo accuses me of failing to think in what I am sure he considers remarkably clever satire. Actually, no…

Zoroastrian Prophets and Jesus

I am not a scholar in this subject, but from my amateur sleuthwork, I have pieced together a possible scenario explaning to some extent the Jesus phenomenon. The period of the first century BC found the so called Holy Land awash in Zoroastrian prophets. Zoroastrianism also has a messiah myth. Is it possible that Jesus was also one of these and got caught up in the political machinations of the time and then the power hungry plot of Saul of Tarsus to create an organization?

Just a thought. I per… Continue

Good morning Jeff, I just wanted to explain why I wrote "BTW: This is no joke" at the end of a reply I posted on your forum. The TS organizational issues are a delicate and serious matter for many TS members. Unfortunately, while discussing such delicate matters, we have had non-TS members making jokes about it. Hope this explain why I ended my reply with that sentence. Thanking you in advance for your attention and understanding, J.

Jeff, thanks for the tip on Aryel's book. I read it, studied it, analyzed it and even wrote something of a review, which I have not yet released. Aryel's equation of Maiterya with a part of K's process didn't fly with me. My basic position is still to be found in: "Krishnamurti: An Esoteric View of his Teachings" at http://alpheus.org/html/articles/krishnamurti/onk.html
