I am a 50 year old, Northern California native and descended from passengers of both Captain Smith’s party and the Mayflower. I have 3 books published, ‘A Concise Account Of North America 1765’ which was released in December 2007; The Works Of Reverend David McGregor’ which is at the printer, and Anaglyph 3D Photography on Blurb.com. I am working on three other books and two screen plays.
My profession has been in the electrical, engineering and electronics fields. I have built communications modules on thirteen geosynchronous satellites, been an offshore electronics technician working on underwater remote operated vehicles, engineered and managed large metropolitan fiber optics networks, designed long distance microwave routes and have worked in the electronics industry as a quality inspector. I feel it is quite an accomplishment for only having a high school diploma and on the job training courses. I am currently an on call electronics service technician.
I decided to get a degree in a field that I do not have extensive training in, so it would not be too boring. So I choose networking and IT to reinforce my experience. I currently am an independent service technician and do warranty work for Dell, Vizio, Polaroid TVs, HP Plasma TVs and service major retailers, local businesses and banks networks printers and computers.
I have been to all 50 states and lived in 9 states in every corner of the U.S. I have lived in California, Colorado, Florida, Washington, Vermont, Texas, Louisiana and New Hampshire. I now live in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
My hobbies are 3D photography, history and genealogy research. I have some of my 3D photography on my web site LOOKinHERE.com. You need a pair of anaglyph red/cyan 3D glasses to view the pictures. My page Montalona.com is a genealogy site of the descendants of my 6th great grandfather James Rogers. Four of his sons served in Rogers Rangers in the French and Indian War. Maj. Robert Rogers was the most famous and was played by Spencer Tracy in the movie ‘Northwest Passage’.
My son is 29 and in the Army’s 82nd Airborne serving in Iraq Nov 2008 to Nov 2009.
