About Me:
I have been a follower of Theosophy since my teenage years. In fact, Theosophy was my first introduction to reincarnation, karma, pantheism ( or rather, panantheism) and the overall evolution of life. It was as if I was re-introduced to something I already knew. I love Theosophy and always will. Theosophy opened up and entire world of philosophy that, until then, had been hidden from me. The little brown book, entitled, "Theosophy", that I checked out of my local library, would change my life in ways I could not imagine. I thank God every day for it.
Lodge/Study Center:
Unfortunately, none in my area

Hi Jeff! Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I'm on Facebook and I forget about this website. Oh well. In answer to your question, I read Seth's premise that every thought affects our previous and future lives. From my meetings I think HPB (or the Mahatmas) say sort of the same thing that everything happens instanteously and what we think is past, present or future occurs right now. I can't understand it but then again we are linear oriented so it would be beyond our comprehension. Maybe what they mean is that when something changes, the past is made to reflect that change? I don't know it is hard to comprehend and verbalize. I remember Seth talking about it and how it stayed in my mind all of these years. It is really profound. Have you been able to understand it better from when you first read it? Let me know.

Hoping all is well with you.

I can relate to a lot of what you are saying; many similar themes as I've come through a paradigm shift.

Thank you for your comment. I like your idea about writing stories to teach people about ancient history and philosophy. Story is the best way to teach and learn. Sounds like fun. I look forward to reading some of those stories some day soon. :-)

Hi Jeffrey!

I remember reading that in Seth as well as the idea of alternate realities existing side by side and sometimes bleeding into each other. I also think that was Seth's explanation of the Resurrection. He said it occurred in another reality but was so powerful it was felt in this one.

I don't know, it does sound plausible. I also remember reading in the Mahatma letters that universes occur in a split second so the idea has some validity. I do think that our human finite mind can only register one thing at a time. We can only focus on one thing at a time anyway so it makes some sense. I need to re-read the Nature of Consciousness. Thanks for reminding me. Do you compare the theosophical literature to the Seth material? I used to try but I got too into theosophy to do both.

Hi Jeffrey,

I haven't read the Seth books but I have wanted to for some time. I really like Esther and Jerry Hicks and Abraham but can't really get into their books. I have been reading Thomas Troward and Ernest Holmes and I am fascinated with what I am reading. Do you find that the info in the Seth books has more to offer than some of the newer channels out?

Hi there Jeffrey!

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I do like the site very much.

I see from your profile that you read Jane Roberts and Seth! That was my first foray into metaphysical studies many years ago (the 1980s)!! I think I read all of her work - Adventures in Consciousness, The Seth Material and many others too numerous to name here! Her stuff is not considered in high regard at the Lodge that I attend but a lot of what she wrote is confirmed by the Theosophical literature. I am not sure if Jane Roberts knew about HPB but her experience give a modern example of what was written by HPB! Oh well!

Again, thanks for the welcome and keep up the good work!
