The principle of restrain is indeed an interesting topic, G.M. As your post says at the end: "This principle apply to good-bad, man-nation, religion-race and so on."

Principle of restraint

Dear friends of T.C
Two days back,I happend to see one theosophical journal and read about The Principle of restraint. The scientist E.W. Sinnott points out this principle in his book of 'The Spirit'.
From this, We learn that the root and every branch and part of, let us say, a geranium, contains energy or power to grow and expand, but that power is restrained in a very mysterious way until it is necessary for it to come into action.
Many other examples of limits sat by nature are around us. The… Continue

What Theosophy says about Question of evil?

Question of evil and question of good is two sides of a coin. The theory of duality was given in the emblrm of T.S as interlaced traingle. This theory says that if there is profit, there must be loss. If there is birth, there is death. In that same if there is God, there must be ghost. Blavatsky told that no one and nothing is inherently evil without good.

Hello dear brother, Gudiseva, always such a pleasure to hear from you!!  Thank you for sharing such information with me. I was not aware of it. I now understand better why other countries such the US, UK, among others, seek professionals from your country. Not long ago I met a university professor at the University of Utah. She looks so young to be a university professor already; she already has a Ph.D., and she looks not older than 30 years old. What you have shared with me explains it. Though children having such long hours, am not sure. For teenagers I believe that is a wonderful thing to do. Less time for them to waste and/or missuse. Children and teenagers here go to school between 7 and 8 depending on the school they go to; they get off usually at 3:00 PM. I heard school method in your country is very good. I once met a tennager here who didn't know how to do simply divisions, something children in South America (I studied in South America) between 9 and 11 must know how to do in order to move to higher levels of education. Warmes regards!! 

Yes Dear brother G.M. I am very busy at present and have little time to help much in our community as I had been doing for the past year.
What I do and have done for this Community have been all my initiative. It has been the love, passion and loyalty I feel for Theosophy, the Section I belong to, the TSA, and all the beautiful hearts and minds, such as yourself, I have been privilege to meet thanks to TSA's National President, Mrs. Betty Bland, altruism and courage at authorizing the set up of TC, that have motivated me to be so active in this community.
I will continue to help but not as much as I would love to. I do thank you for your kind and appreciative message. It is so good to hear from you!! ☺ How are your studies with the director of education at TSA, David Bruce, going? I hope you are still studying with him. Are you? I would love to hear about your progress!!-☺ What do you think of what you have learned since studying on-line with TSA's department of education? There is so much information for everyone, from anywhere in the world, to access just by visiting TSA's webside www.theosophical.org, isn't it? The last time I heard was you were studying about karma, am I correct? It is indeed a very interesting subject to study and try to understand, is it not?-☺ I think that is something not easy to understand at the beginning, some times it might take several incarnations to fully understand and accept such a profund concept, not only in our mind but also in our heart, I think. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts and sentiments abuot it--☺ A lovely week to you, your family and love ones, G.M.-☺ With fraternal love and gratitude, your sister in Theosophy and friend, -J.

Thank you for your comment about philosophy. I have always been drawn toward philosophy, and have taken a few courses in philosophy at a small university. It was rather disappointing because of the western bias.

For instance, my professor Dr. Miller told us that students of philosophy must align themselves with either Plato or Aristotle. That is what he really believes. I am not wholly taken with either one. I believe that eclecticism is the most satisfactory view of western philosphy.

And, since I have studied more than one kind of logic, I fail to see how the symbolic logic used by philosophers is at all universal. Why they think that it can be applied to everything, I have no idea. With all of the logical studies in mathematics and even physics, it does seem absurd that the simple logic of philosophers would continue to bear any weight.

Empiricism in the most general sense is the stance I take as to truth. I believe that all of our observations should be qualified in terms of what kind of experience brought them about. As long as we are clear about what kind of experience has brought about someones ideas, I believe those ideas should be heard.

Best regards,

Vincent
