I invite everyone to answer the question

I see theosophy as our human attempt to reconcile science and religion.
Science is a great word that tries to explain reality, its origin, and evolution

What do you think?

I'd say it's just another word for truth or enlightenment. It's a science of the mind where we generate a loving altruistic attitude that slowly elevates us to that omniscient state of oneness. Comes with a good portion of esoteric philosophy that we should study.

A GENERAL VIEW OF THEOSOPHY

by A.C.W.

as published in "Theosophical Siftings" - Volume -2- 1889-1890

I think, full name should be recorded. There is a person with name Charles Leadbeater. He is not connected to Theosophy.
So it will be better if name is recorded as Charles Webster Leadbeater instead of only initials.
Inclusion of the name of the publisher will also enable to identify the audio.

Also there are generally many editions of the same book, the text of which can differ widely. Today's Masters and the Path by TPH is 60% of what CWL had published. So it becomes necessary to know which edition is used for MP3. Publishers name and edition are important.

This recording of ACW is still useful to my library.
I wanted to say it is better to record full name of the author e.g. Charles Webster Leadbeater, title, publisher and edition.
To know who ACW is, we will have to see original document called Theosophical siftings.
For the time being it is ok even if full name is not known.
Thanks.

I would rather read what YOU think theosophy is?

Hi Andrea

Why don't you tell us, in your words, What Leadbeater and Besant write mostly about.

Hello everyone,

I read that we talking about the truth, if we defined the theosophy.
That is what confusing me. Because if you say that did is the truth, you also think, that something other cannot be truth. So, we judgment about another way of thinking i guess.

Blavatsky says that there is no religion higher than truth. To find out what the truth really are, you need to listened to yourself, your inner self, your higher self

But truth – I think can only be named as your own truth. Not as the truth.
In my vision, the strongest part of theosophy is the brotherhood of human being. Just take a look at this for a minute:

Everything is one, there is no different between you and me. We are not separated from each other, we are connected – so what goes around comes around

With this vision, there is love and peace – en god is there where you are, because you are!

Religion needs to be study, to find the meaning of the deeper understanding
Since needs to be study to confirm this understanding

So can there be a place for different’s about good or bad? Or right of wrong if everything necessary to understand?

Greats
Holger
