What does Theosophy tell us about the term "light bearer"?

I am a new learner and explorer of Theosophy. I am also working on a soul exploration that keeps revealing I am to be a "light bearer" for the greater conciousness. I am also feeling that colors are important, especially when used in a mosaic style. Google searches have turned up some info by Annie Besant on "light bearer" and a search of the Olcott Library catalog shows several titles dealing with color. Any thoughts on what I am being guided to or about? Thanks for input

Like Martin says: we all have to find our own path - as long as you follow your intuition without clinging to past concepts, you should be fine. Don't trust us to help you find where you're going. Let it unfold as you go along. And do remember that we're all here for a reason. 'be humbler still if wisdom though has found' (or something, from either Light on the Path or The Voice of the Silence).

The term lightbearer is usually not associated with color - other than the color white which includes all other colors. It usually refers to someone who brings light to the world: helps make this world a better place with their wisdom and insight - and bearing the light their role would generally be thought to be a public one. 'don't hide your light under a bushel'.

Also we shouldn't forget that the light bearer is the same as lucifer. As the latter word has a negative connotation among the bigoted christians, the expression "light bearer" was invented. It can be regarded as a world principle too. The magazine of Canadian Theosophical Association is called "The light bearer", while I'm sure that they meant the same what HPB meant when she called her magazine "Lucifer".

Good reply Konstantin, it gave me a totally random thought process. I was thinking as it goes with Venus, Usana-Sukra, our older Brother, a World vastly evolved beyond Earth, and Saturn, described in the same direction, only going vastly further still, that humanity seems to hold those in vastly superior ages of maturity, but are not First LOGOS, in as much contempt as they can muster. I'm glad Nature forgives the ignorant. This same saying gives concern as well. SUE, a Lightbearer can be a bit seductive when not careful. My conscience allows me to see superbia when I harbor it, and it hurts, I have a lot of scars.
