The Theosophical Community

Official Social Network of The Theosophical Society in America

Is anyone interested in discussing the relationship between the philosphical ideals of the Theosophical Society and how they relate to the deep ecology, sustainability, and green communities movements? Some have written that we are moving from the Industrial Age to the Ecological Age. In my opinion, this can't happen without a change in human consciousness. I personally believe that the Society could be a major force in changing the consciousness of every human on the planet. Perhaps, then, more equitable community structures will be designed which bond humans together on a luminous path to an ascended life, one that respects all sentient life on the planet. I've enclosed a paper I wrote for group I co-lead on The Great Turning, a label that also explains what is happening to the human race at this time.

Perhaps Nature will come to the rescue. Sperm counts have been falling in the USA and in Europe for some sixty or seventy years. How much longer before this results in falling birth rates? Not that we should rely on Nature, of course. We still need to educate on the need for smaller families.

Uhh.. I didn't know that...

Sometimes I think there could be an inner clock that is in species when they become too prolific .. They call this as I recall a "die off".. but I agree there needs to be education..

Sometimes people can see the economic realities and limit their family size.. I keep thinking of the hamster running in it's little gizmo faster and faster..

I have not read the paper yet.

Regardless of what comes ahead, and no matter what form it will be, Theosophy will be there.

you see, theosophy is about the connection between what people think, write, believe in, invent, discover, and create.

Theosophy is here to stay.
