The New World Order

Is there anyone in the Theosophical Community who knows about this? If so what are your thoughts on it? Do you accept it to be true? I find that theosophic knowledge and theosophists themselves are the greatest threat against this order and would've thought many here would know about it but after browsing through this site I don't think there is anyone who does.

I apologise for taking so long to reply. Do so now, ever so briefly, whilst I have a moment.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I had the same experience as you did when finding out about this and I myself was not able to sleep for the first week.

I know that good will win eventually, but I have a hard time seeing it do so anytime soon. My biggest concern is WW3 happening soon. I believe that the New World Order is steering us into a bible like apocalypse where man will die by the sword of his brother and disease and famine will plague the whole world. What a better way to decrease the world's population by as much as 90 percent by making us do it ourselves or just by causing a great depression. If the majority of the world's people still decide to fight for their governments then how can good win? I'm not saying we can't I just want to hear some ideas because I still haven't thought of any.

Lenny: All the concerns above are valid worries. It's hard, at first, to see the big picture, as you do, and remain confident that the best outcome will eventually prevail. It will though. Every little effort we put into prevention of happenings, in accordance with Spiritual Laws, bears fruit whether we notice it or not. It certainly helps to know there are many caring people in the world quietly and methodically doing alot to 'lift a little of the heavy karma off the world.'

Quiet people who are not ignorant of the major battle being waged out, and the (seeming) largeness of the problem and the works necessary to finally overcome the battle of dualities in existence in this upside down world. People who also recognise the masses are little more than pawns in this game called life. Pawns until they become empowered into conscious living by some means or another. Each of us can notice a 'pawn personality' - understand them and help them find meaning, find their purpose. Every little effort of kindness for our fellow human beings can be of enormous benefit to the whole in ways we seldom realise.

Now let's look at each of the problems you see looming for the world and what might be done about them.

WW3 and if the majority of the world's population still insist on fighting for their Governments.

Firstly. If people choose to fight for their Governments there's not alot we can do about it. It may even be a necessary part of their life karma. What we can do, apart from promoting and sticking to our own peaceful convictions, is examine whether or not the people who choose to fight are doing it for the right reasons. Hi Jimmy,

I do think it's a worthy attempt. I've been wishing I could start some kind of movement where we just get a bunch of people to sign up just to say that they are ready to unite with their fellow man and then eventually more and more sign up. So I would love to become a member of that.

However, I do have a couple things to say on that. For instance, if we want something like this to grow fast and large and are serious about it then it's going to take some serious money, which we don't have. Our sponsor would have to be a privately owned business most likely because if we started to grow too successfully the powers that be would tear us down.

So why not the Theosophical Society? Why wouldn't they be speaking out on this? This is the most important thing humanity has ever had to face yet and time is running out.

I am very much in agreement that there have been nefarious forces at work that have been planning a one world, fascist government for some time now. I first became aware of this in 1994 through direct, personal experience with some of the players involved. This was a harrowing time, to say the least, and one in which my life was threatened, both overtly and covertly, on several different occasions. This is a very long and complex story, to be sure, the details of which are perhaps best left for another time.

However, let me just say that these experiences literally ripped my world as I had come to know it right out from under me. And I had to find and build new foundations to rest upon, as all that I had come to know and trust as taught to me in our traditional school system with regards to history, and the way that things work here on earth was torn to shreds by undeniable, first hand experience. I was literally thrust from Kansas into the land of OZ, and I have been there ever since. Because you really can't go back to that illusory world that you once called "home" after things like this happen to you.

Lately though, I have begun to gather hope that perhaps things are truly changing for the better. I could be very wrong about this, and I truly pray that I am not letting false hopes gain the best of me. But I feel something very genuine and trustworthy radiating out from Obama whenever I hear him speak. I certainly voted for the man, and since he took the office just a short time ago, he so far seems to be genuinely representing what he claimed he would, and that is very encouraging.

Perhaps the political battle between Obama and McCain had much more far reaching implications then many realized. Perhaps this was a major crossroads, and the American citizen's passed the great test. Had we fallen, once again, for the illusion of the old guard security, represented by the older, white American war hero with a very Anglo-Saxon sounding name, as opposed to the young, African American with a somewhat radical past, with a very Muslim sounding name, but who truly represents very real and positive changes, then we may have truly found ourselves in the last throes of freedom. As it stands now, perhaps having passed the challenge, we may truly be on our way to lasting peace and freedom on Earth, and abundance for all.

This is not to say that there is not still tremendous work to be done by ALL OF US, not just our leaders, to bring these real changes about. But this may have been the real turning point.

At least, this is my great hope.

We need all humans to be part of the new way we manage our planet
We need to manage it together

Universal consciousness seems to be a uniting force

Who loses with a new world order?
Religion? Individual nations? Individuals?

From my studies I have perceived two basic attitudes out there about the NWO. One benign perspective is given in the Alice Bailey writings which basically say that the World Teacher Maitreya will not return until all humanity is united. So there is a united effort to bring all the nations of the world together so that evolution can take it's course. The other belief is that the NWO is an evil conspiracy to bring everyone under the control of the Biblical Anti-Christ. As an optimist and skeptic of conspiracy theorists I believe more in the former paradigm than the latter.

And while I haven't even been here before until about a few weeks or so.. I had some points to add.. this concept some people have of a new world order is for them like a conspiratorial orientation.. and once you have that mind set you can start making all sorts of connections in your mind. It's used as a kind of "club" when there are some ideas that people have that are "disapproved of".

With the collapse of the economies in the past year more people are thinking of ways to respond globally and deal with crises in a more "global" way..and why shouldn't they? Consider the Internet as the new media and means whereby we can communicate almost instantly across great distances with people..science, economics and social styles and concepts are now increasingly global.

I'll also state quite unabashedly here that probably the greatest threat to peace and stability today is xenophobia and unilateralist solutions.. that is, countries that act without considering inter-relatedness and so on.
