I could see frustration of some officers in TS regarding the results in Presidential elections. They were wondering how one person can get elected unopposed for around 30 years. It happened again and again in TS history. Different theories were offered to explain this phenomenon. I think all that mystery is solved by above passages of Annie Besant.

There has been complaints about "leaking" of the draft of disenfranchisement proposal. In India and abroad governments don't keep anything secrete. Most laws are open to public from the very beginning. There is no question of leaking them because they were never meant to be kept secrete. I would suggest that General Secretaries should adopt the same policy of transparency. Government officers hold press conferences regularly in order to tell public what they are doing. Why doesn't General Council think it necessary to tell members what is going on? Even now GC and HQ have not told anything officially to members about the proposal and what happened to it.

Aren't the people who leaked the draft and later ridiculed those who created it members of the Esoteric School?
In India, most laws are open to public in all stages of their development including draft etc. I wish TS also becomes transparent.

Arent TS laws open to the public? I believe they are. You live in India, where the multinational headquarters is located, don't they allow you to read TS by-laws over there?

Janeth wrote "There is no such politics in our spiritual Society" and then she accuses officers in TS of leaking the draft for political purposes.

Anand,

In this instance, what you call "political purposes", I call human beings imperfections. Once again, there is no regular politics in our Society. But then again, each person interprets things according to his/her inner spiritual, mental and emotional level of evolvement.

Did you watch the Webcasting on the 7 Rays presented by the Theosophical Society in America this morning? "Very interesting and uplifting!!☺ Even scholars were there participating, sharing their knowledge and wisdom with ther rest of humanity.

Janeth,
Keep your messages to the point. Don't give long lectures on ethics and don't make repeated general statements. Otherwise I will simply ignore your messages.

Theosophical Society is supposed to keep before the world very high standards of morality by it's own example. What right does TS have to preach morality before the world, when it's own structure has big problem which is described by Annie Besant in these words "The existence of a secret body (ES) to rule the outer Society made the constitution of the T.S. a mere farce"
This is not one problem in TS. There are many other huge contradictions. Blasphemy in Mahatma Letter No. 10 denying existence of God, which insults Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam and many great religions, is another big problem.
Third problem is J. Krishnamurti ridiculed all religions and their great teachers. And yet J. Krishnamurti's teaching is being promoted by leaders of TS Radha Burnier, John Algeo and others. This despite the traditional position of TS that founders of great religions came from the White Lodge, to which Masters of TS belong. There is no consistency in what TS preaches.
Today they arrange lecture in TS on Blavatsky preaching there is a path of occultism. Tomorrow they arrange lecture on J. Krishnamurti telling people there is no path.
Incredible contradictions in speeches and actions of leaders of TS has made TS a bad example before the world. It is necessary to carefully think not just constitution but also what philosophical beliefs we have as TS. Today if somebody asks TS officers a simple question whether God exists or not, one third will say God does not exist, one third will say God exists and one third will say they don't know whether God exists or not. What kind of organization are TS members and officers are running?

I find the role of ES to be a problem. I don't fine disagreement on the reality and nature of "God" to be so much of one...

Anand is an Evangelical Christian, so you have to consider his posts from that perspective.

It's true, but it's the best way to prove that the Theosophical Society is not a sect or cult.

It proves that TS is ignorant about most important subject of God and it takes pride in that ignorance.

Regarding: "Reply by Anand Gholap 1 hour ago - It proves that TS.."<--- It proves no such thing.

As Nick intelligently put it, and generously shared with us, "Anand is an Evangelical Christian, so you have to consider his posts from that perspective."

The TS is what it is, and those with the right equilibrium between the mental, emotional and spiritual bodies will interpret it the proper way. Again, Mr. Morrow's comment says it all!!☺
