Sociological Role of Theosophist

What is the sociological role of Theosophist in terms of assisting society in becoming more conscious and aware of the beauty of life and the universe ? Not only that but also in aiding the youth to reconnect to their divinity, value, worth and sacredness ?

I'm not saying that Service to others should be done for reasons connected to the preservation of the society. If that's in the mind of a person then his motives are wrong. What I'm saying is that, good deeds and service to others shouldn't be done or carried out to be seen in the eyes of others as being a holy, noble or righteous guy. Infact, they should be done out of the public eye ! That's when you know the works of a person is pure, when his intentions are pure ! For people seeking after fame and popularity need a crowd of fans in which to carry out what is normally spiritual work. I live around alot of gangbangers. Infact, I'm an ex-gangbanger myself. No one reaches out to them but me ! Even in prison, I was reachin' out to brothers. And most brothers I talked to ended up wanting to know about Theosophy because of the fact that I reached out to them. I never bragged but what took place behind closed doors stayed behind closed doors ! Drug addicts are in the world and prostitutes and children with no guidance or direction. Who's reaching out to them? The very same people that arrested their development in the first place and if they don't treat you right then how can you expect them to teach you right?
