We know 2 because we all have two parents; a male and a female.
Am I the number 3? made of 1 and 2.

Why is Carbon the base of organic life on earth?
Is it because of its 666
The 6 protons, 6 Neutrons, and 6 Electrons that make its most stable state?

Why do Electrons and Protons have equal and opposite charges?
How is it possible for a particle to have a third of a charge?

Finally, how is all this connected to theosophy?

This triangle symbolizes a lot , Particularly is you see each black dot as the center of a sphere that are equal. It can also be seen in 3-dimensions, creating a tetrahedron

This is a very important, yet infinite series.

Amazingly, the addition of layers in 3-dimension creates layers in 2-dimensions
For example
1+2 makes the a tetrahedron with a base of 3 "like the first 3 dots above"
1+2+3 makes a tetrahedron with a base as in the first 3 lines above
1+2+3+4 creates a tetrahedron whose base is 10 like the figure above.
In 3-dimension, all sides of the tetrahedron are equal.

There are volumes that can be said about this simple principle and another that is called the Pyramid. Together they create all manifestation of light and space.
