I've been reading 'creative evolution' by quantum physicist Goswami. He does have some interesting points on the evolution of humanity for instance.

I think you've probably all heard of the way in which some people are interpreting quantum physics to mean that we're all free to create our own reality? Or as our friends at Theosophy Watch put it: Does mind over matter? Weirdly enough - that's not at all a viable conclusion from the standpoint of quantum physics. There are definite limits to the freedom of an electron for instance.

I do think that there is some reason for taking seriously the idea that consciousness manifested the universe to begin with though. The tangled web of observer observing itself and thereby manifesting itself has a strange ring of truth for me. However I do think it has to take into account the possibilities of that moment of manifestation.

The moment of manifestation

That is a wonderful question.
There are events that take place before time as we understand it to be. These are the events that lead to the creation of particles that have position in space. Space itself must manifest certain potential before particles are created.
Thus the moment of manifestation has do to with the origin of time as we understand it to be. It appears after space potential is created. This potential evolves as energy manifests and interacts within space. What we see today is manifested energy that has evolved through many changes. It is not exactly the cloud of simple particles of years past, but it is made of the same stuff.
