New Global Currency to replace US$ ?

Just as predicted!! UN proposes new global currency reserve
We have heard rumours of this previously in our part of the world.
Sure I've been given information that new currency is already being minted.
What's the street talk about this over in USA? Anyone know?

A United Nations panel of economists has proposed a new global currency reserve that would take over the US dollar-based system used for decades by international banks.
The proposal comes on the heels of the controversial call by China's central bank governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, to create a new world currency reserve to replace the US dollar as part of a sweeping overhaul of global finance, which is suffering its worst crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

Obama and our brain dead Congress and Senate, are taking the American people, along with our capitalistic economic system (the harder you work, the greater your reward) on a "death ride". If intelligent minds don't prevail the World will lose it's only superpower, hence policeman and plunge the World into a global calamity that will make the Dark Ages look like a square dance.

Strong opinion. Personally, I'd agree with every word of it if the words Obama, brain dead Congress and Senate, were replaced by "Politicians, Rulers and Leaders" everywhere!!
The 'masses' are all pawns in their games. Games they play for their own amusements. There is very little sign of real benevolence in any of them. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt as being just well meaning but unintelligent individuals if they weren't so clever at getting most everything they do so dreadfully wrong! This is based on 30yrs of real study into politics and politicians locally, Nationally and, especially, Internationally.

The 'system of rule' in the world today is totally corrupt from top to bottom in my considered opinion. What a chess board of 'life' we pawns are born into. God help us All. :)

I might also suggest to you, in the kindliest possible way and with the very best of intentions, that the 'wider world' does not necessarily see USA as a 'worthy' Superpower for this time in evolution either. Not at all. Don't get me started on all the rationalisations I personally have for agreeing with that opinion. Also, that conviction will not change for me either until I first see your country realise 'war is no solution to anything' ever! That's probably the single most error of your Leaders...their assumption that they have to go out killing people with ever more powerful weapons. Where's the Wisdom to be 'Peacemakers?'

Maybe if people everywhere didn't fear 'death' so much they would consider their Eternal Life is far more important than this temporary one lived out of accord with Immutable Laws?

However, getting back to the matter of a new currency design to replace the US$.
Idea seems to have come from China to UN but there's no real certainty as to where any ideas really come from (voiced and acted upon through Rulers and Leaders) or what the intended outcome is supposed to achieve. For my understanding (my survival technique) I look at what possible outcomes might come from any action dreamed up by ? and implemented by Rulers, leaders etc.

I've heard over the years things that may be relevant:

China has, for years, been propping up the American economy. At any time they have been able to 'call in the cards' - calling America to account for it's debt. Maybe that has happened - hence the economic bankruptcy with ripples around the world because the world economy is linked to US$?

I've heard the undeveloped oil rich Nations were given money by USA to drill for oil with only 1 string attached. All oil had to be sold in US$ forever. Conclusion: USA controls the price of oil forever and makes 'their $' the needed currency of the world.

It's interesting here in N Z to watch the daily currency fluctuations alongside price of oil on the International market. If Oil goes down....cost of US$ goes up and vice versa. More or less making sure no benefit to Countries dependant on oil and/or US$ ever happens with exports etc.

I don't know yet if a 'new currency' replacing US$ will translate into oil producing Nations having to accept other currencies for oil ? but will continue to listen for signs how that could play out.

I do recall there was 1 or 2 potential oil producing Nations who would not agree to only selling their oil in US$. Would have to go back to the source of my information to be accurate. It came from one of your countrymen too. You have alot of really good people over there.

By the way, whilst I'm at it. Can any of you people enlighten me as to why this is?
This little drama seems to have been initiated by your Govt on New Zealand people!!

We have had, in these passed few months, alot of hoo haa and drama around a new law proposed by our Govt which would necessitate ISP companies to 'pull the plug' on any internet user 'accused' (without proof) 'Accused' of pirating things from the internet. Supposedly music, videos and whatnot.

Naturallly there's an outrage from ISP companies.....unjust, difficult, etc etc. Our 'generous' Govt gave the ISP companies time to come up with rules and guidelines to make this ridiculous law work. Very little time at that and with the clear message that 'the law would be passed, would be brought in etc' No question about it even though they 'play' the patience game!

Naturally, me the cynic thinks....okay, the creeps want freedom of opinion curtailed so this would be an easy way of stopping freedom of inforrmation sharing between individuals and Nations without using the 'blatant' censorship employed by Chinese....we being all democratic and they not etc. (snigger snigger - possibly the biggest delusion in the world is that 'democracy' exists anywhere, much least the West)

Lo and behold if I didn't hear on news recently that this nonesensical ISP 'pulling the plug' law is a necessary request made by American Govt if New Zealand wants a free trade agreement!

Now all I can wonder is...."what opinion sharing from New Zealand is your Govt (or whomever pulls their strings) afraid of? Anyone over there know what opinions from N Z frighten them? Is it our Peace Policy? Our outspokenness? Our grasp on reality of world events ? (we being a small Island Nation without alot of local news...we tend to be more aware of the wider world than they are of us etc and personal emailing is the only, as yet, uncensored opinion in the West)

If we had wiser Govt I'm sure they would realise the 'promise' of sending a few sheep to USA is a poor trade off for freedom of speech via the internet. I guess we all just have to speak out now whilst we can.....make hay whilst the sun shines. :)

Michaelcarlo....Know your enemy. It's not Obama, brain dead Congress and Senate, it's Pricipalities and Powers operating through them and any others of their ilk. They can be overcome with as much Perfected Thought and Action as we Pawns can collectively muster. :)

Are you referring to Russias proposal sometime late 1970's or early 80's?
I remember at the time thinking 'the creeps' are at monkey business in Russia.

There was also a short spell in Russian politics at that time where, it seemed, one after another of your Leaders died in rapid succession. That always seemed oddly suspicious to me.

We never truly know who is calling the shots in this world do we?

I remember the particularly obnoxious Prime Minister in this country at that time too.
Jiggly pokey carry-on's inflicted in our country leading to impoverishment and influx of foreign businesses of the multi-national kind. Earned him an important position on the board of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) I also remember one third world country (somewhere) was unable to get funds from this so-called benevolent IMF for the purpose of reclaiming an old dump site and turning it into food producing area for the starving people.

I just do not understand 'politics' - just doesn't make sense to me at all. :) I try.

It's great to see you on this site, Janine! There's the Zeitgeist Addendum too. All part of the wakening consciousness of humanity, to what's been going on.

I think a new currency would help but it must be accompanied by a change to the fundamental system where a privately-owned organisation (The Federal Reserve, in the US) creates money as debt, into one that creates money in exchange for real value given. The American Monetary Institute www.monetary.org has a finely worked-out plan for doing this in America, and the principles would adapt to many other countries too. Alternative currencies can free up a stuck economy, and people are gradually waking up to them. There's a big list of info sites about alternative money systems on www.ces.org.za/misc/links.htm. Alternative currencies apparently helped to pull the world out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. These do-it-yourself local currencies let people get on with their lives when the main money system is broken and, in these days of computer communication, are much easier to run.

There's a list of such Community Exchange systems in New Zealand at www.ces.org.za/exchparams.asp?country=NZ and one that I'm aware of, the HANDS system at Golden Bay, is growing handsomely. There are many others around the world, waiting like little shoots of new grass, to well up and widen into a carpet of green. :-)

There are so many false statements--so many--in the first 30 minutes of this film, I'm surprised you can take it seriously. The producer makes no attempt to check anything he says or provide sources--I concluded he has absolutely no regard for the truth. That's just the Christian section. The second section on 9/11 consists of statements with no sources, just the author providing opinion, often in disregard of established facts.

The replacement currency has been initiated years ago Janeth , there are tube vids with physical samples of the new currency available. We are about to see within our life times ,,, changes that werent even considered possible ever... as recent as 15 yrs.. Interesting discussion. I think it's only fair that the US currency stops being the international standard - as it's clear the US is no longer the main economy in the world. I mean - it's still important, but so are the EU, China and India. With economic power so widely distributed - and problems also - I think a combined currency would be a very good way to stabilize things.
