Both monstrosity

Of having and not giving
Giving and not having
Loving and not being
Being and not loving

By association
Or by self infliction
By choice
And by addiction

At home or work
Or in a nightmare
Anxiety and guilt
With you everywhere

Anxiety and guilt
That's the most we should fear
Yet without apprehension
We would disappear

So many roads
To get to the start
Like warm smiles
Pleasing the heart

There is the mind
Living everywhere
Within the soul
Loving but fair

Machines roar
Tigers in disguise
Little maps for
Our universe

World of probabilities
Illusion and realty
Truths and possibilities

Chance and choices
Within and without
As we curiously
Wander about


How does one describe the indescribable?

It's all fantasies and dreams
Dark yet colorful
Dreadful but beautiful
Where one becomes many
and all is lost in a moment
from here it's cool
in there it's a torment
One is clear and shallow
the other is solid and permanent
yet the two are only one
Fantastic dream


Now

Every night has a story
Some short and pleasurable
Some long and miserable

Every night searches for answers
To origins of the light

Every day is a poem
Descriptive yet ironic
They end in wonder
Apprehension about the night

There seems not to be
But an in-between
Color within
Black & white


The dancer

Here comes the dancer
Jumping and strolling
Wobbling like a baby

Legs and arms talking
Never saying more
Than perhaps and maybe

A mask of emotions
No one can truly see

Here goes the dancer
Spinning like a star
In waves of ecstasy

Banging at doors
Stomping the floors
Of alternate reality

Like magic
He disappears
Then suddenly reappears
Just like me




What is it that we seek?

What are we searching for?
Is it peace?
Within and without
Or is it belief
In being
Perhaps it is a fill
To a monstrous appetite
Or to serve and comfort
The mother queen
Maybe it is just questions
That we seek
Endless questions



Where am I?

And where have I been?
Should I head back to sea?
Or wait by the shore
Here, wherever here is
Is here, it seems, to stay
To run is just the same
For here is there again


One way to live


Always look for the warmth
The energy and the inner glow

Wreck the substance
Collect the waves
Form circles of light
And create
The energy of being
And compassion
And a new reality
Of love and peace

Smoke the pipe of peace
Declare this war the last

You are the individual
And the collective

You are attractive
And reflective



And then

In a moment of realization
your humanity catches up
while you socialize

Anxiety and guilt
Guilt and anxiety
neither is real
yet ruling your reality

How could you?
In social company
feel your humanity?



Language is poor in expression

Few words
half miserable
Juggling thought

Senses yet undiscovered
Lie beyond the crooked letters
beyond the clay and paint
And the loving words of mothers

Thinking is hard
during the stormy season
Of complex ideas

Armageddon

This infant species
Which has yet to learn to walk
Is crawling towards a cliff

Led by the haunting sound of a spring breeze above
And the beckoning, crashing waves, down below.
Yet to the cliff we race.
Shoving each other aside
As we rush up, to the edge
To fall
Do we know what is in the waters below?
To survive
Holding to nothing but a winning dream?
Those we shoved aside as we rose,
Higher up that most challenging peak?
Did they push us over?
Will we make it back to shore?
To try that climb again?
Or will we succumb to the Gods of the sea?

The two meet
And reverse direction

Into infinity

They meet forever
