Introducing Myself...

Greetings everyone! My name is Katie, I'm a 31 year old mom of 2 boys, ages 2 & 8. I'm a member of the Theosophical Society in Wheaton, which is about 10 minutes from my home. I'm looking for intelligent & like-minded people to have adult discussions with-most of my daily conversations are with children & the adults/friends I do socialize with, are not interested in spiritual/New Age topics. So, here I am... with my fellow "nut jobs" (my friends tease me & call me a nut job who lives in the land of the fairies...) Anyway, just wanted to say hello & introduce myself. Looking forward to discussing with all of you!

I bet that you are a person who likes trying new things all the time. One who gets bored easily.
You are always looking for a new angle. And when you find one, it won't take you long to dismiss it as not good enough.

You are in a continuous state of travel, when not on real bumpy roads, then on more confusing and interesting worlds of the mind.

I haven't remembered my dreams while asleep in years, but I remembered one around the time of the solstice. I dreamt the moon was on fire-but it wasn't burning. The moon was full & glowing & silver, but there were flames coming off the sides & the flames were orange, purple & red. I was walking down a dirt road with my two closest friends when we saw it. It was the most surreal dream I've ever had.

Have you interested in theosophy and joined because the Headquarters was near?
I'm asking this because I not once met here people living in Wheaton.
This may mean that even in our times of information technology the active physical centers are important for spreading theosophy, and if we establish more such centers more people shall join.

Have been a member of the TS since '94 for many of the same reasons. Back then, it was much harder to converse with like-minded people unless they were in the neighborhood. Am glad TSA has started using the Internet to help members exchange ideas.
