Hello,

I'm new to this forum, and I'm seeking for an answer. Maybe, someone can help me with this issue.
I had a dream/astral projection in which I was brutally attacked by a giant and terrible Lycanthrope. He tried to reach my face with his claws, as if he wanted to hit me with his open hand. I backed out and waked up very scared only to find out that my face was cut 4 times, like with a thin razor, and there was blood in each cut, my blood. He hurt me pretty bad at all levels. If I don’t pull away, he would of taken out my eyes. This was 3 years ago and it still hurts. The fear of going to sleep is finally gone.

I have read some theories about this strange phenomenon, but only that. Does anybody have some explanation?

Thanks’ for any suggestion.

P.D. I have studied theosophy, history, philosophy, politics and social studies. I’m a consultant and help people solve problems. This happened while trying to help a person with very deep spiritual issues. He asked for help in the dream, and I was attacked.

It probably proves that the etheric projection is possible, which you had, and the etheric body was damaged what resulted it damage of the physical body by so called repercussion.
The problem is that there are several nomenclatures of bodies in theosophy, and none of them explains all possible phenomenons; while each set explains some limited set of phenomenons.
The body which is now called etheric, was called astral or linga sharira in 19th century; but it had some attributes of the body which is now called astral, emotional or desire body. Etheric body isn't considered fit for travel, while linga sharira is, though Blavatsky didn't recommend to travel in it.
Another version is an attack irrespective to your astral travel; i.e. some being have materielized itself downto etheric level and damaged your body. It seems to be the way mullu-kurumbs did work.

I've read some about this as well, and it didn't really stick with me. I limit my thought to the stuhla (physical), and the lingha (astral). But it is only because I still don't have it intrinsic in me yet. There was some discussion concerning some remnant of a person's past life capable of remaining intact until this same human is reborn. In order to discuss this properly, we have to break down the astral into component parts, I think three were mentioned, but I would have to go back and read this again. The problem is, I only had a small amount of content on this topic to read. It was HPB briefly bringing this up, without going deeply into it.

I've never had a monster confront me in my dreams. An old hag, yeah. A past life memory, possibly. Actually, I shouldn't make this claim, I might simply block things that are horrible.

There is a hypothesis which presumes that to be vulnerable, one should be partly materialized during the astral travel, borrowing the physical stuff from his own etheric body:

"The principle of sympathetic vibration mentioned above also provides the explanation of the strange and little-known phenomenon called repercussion, by means of which any injury done to, or any mark made upon, the materialized body in the course of its wanderings will be reproduced in the physical body. We find traces of this in some of the evidence given at trials for witchcraft in the Middle Ages, in which it is not infrequently stated that some wound given to the witch when in the form of a dog or a wolf was found to have appeared in the corresponding part of her human body. The same strange law has sometimes led to an entirely unjust accusation of fraud against a medium, because, for example, some colouring matter rubbed upon the hand of a materialized "spirit" was afterwards found upon his hand – the explanation being that in that case, as so often happens, the "spirit" was simply the medium's etheric double, forced by the guiding influences to take some form other than his own. In fact these two parts of the physical body are so intimately connected that it is impossible to touch the keynote of one without immediately setting up exactly corresponding vibrations in the other." (Leadbeater, "The astral plane" http://www.anandgholap.net/Astral_Plane-CWL.htm )

It is about another option which I've mentioned as the second.

I read the tale by Blavatsky, and I read the Introduction to "The Astral Plane". I went to a Thelema forum for some months not so long ago, only to understand why people were so polarized by it. One person made a comment indicating a goal toward what I can only describe as the second death. I forget exactly how he put it. The physical body can live on even with the death of the astral body, is the only conclusion I could arrive at. I am interested in reading more of "The Astral Plane".

Mr. Rodriquez, I hope you have left this horror behind you. As for my being part of the solution in contrast to being part of the problem, I can only remind one of results of entering the karma of others. But this is only a preventitive rather than a curative. It is also rather stupid on my part, since this appears to be what your career consists of. I suppose fail-safes could be sought out.

Unfortunately, I can relate
It is not easy when you are the only witness. Scars, torn clothes, any physical thing will be answered by the most logical thing people can understand. It is painful, and sad.
What I can share is my own experience. Since I did not know the meaning of the act "although I had plenty of opinions", I did not give it any definition. Now, I hardly remember the rare instances that I am still trying to understand.

Strange coincidence. I had a dream two nights ago which featured a deadly vicious jet black werewolf, more dog like than human though. In the backyard it devoured through my female dog and my other male dog ran up to it and stood a distance away alert and watching. The werewolf turned it's attention to me and ran up to a window that I was behind and close to on my back porch. It was using all it's force to get into the porch. I somehow had to make a decision to save myself or save the people that were inside of my house. Anyway I haven't had a werewolf in a dream before. It was an unusual dream symbol. But I don't ever try to certainly ascertain a dreams particular meaning. I usually have a re-occurring dream when I have a physical health problem that I'm unaware of, so I can at least interpret that.

How can what you say really have happened where you have physical damage, the cuts on your face? Couldn't you have given them to yourself in sleep? Is it possible to receive physical cuts from an etheric entity?

Hello,

I understand your doubts, and this is why I'm seeking advice. I never lost the line of consciousness while returning to my body, and at some point, it seems that it never happened in a dream, but in reality. I can recognize that I was not in the physical world because the beast appeared from underneath my feet in front of me, and it's size was probably five times that of a normal human being. And because I know that there are no such physical monsters in our world, at least not to my knowledge.

This is was a member wrote in this discussion board about your question:

If I ever come to know the truth about this matter, this forum will be the first to hear it. For the mean time, I welcome all comments.

Thanks' for yours.
