Hello everybody....

I am currently doing research on abortion and its various implications. I`ve studied most of the material available on the internet...all of it relating to the spirit of the child and its fate after abortion.

Basically this discussion is to gather data from people on their accounts or knowledge of said topic....in regards to the spirit of the child after the abortion,

My main question is this....

what happens to the spirit of the child after abortion in the astral realm?

where does it go?

How is its situation remedied by the spiritual hierarchy?

Anything that you may know or have read will be of great interest for my research,

I thank you greatly in advance for any serious comment you may have based on actual experience, firtshand accounts that you may know of or other writings available on this matter,

all of it will be of great benefit for my research,

thank you kindly.

Thank you for your reply.....

apparantly Madame Blavatsky does not mention anything about time in that quote....if I am mistaken please correct me,

one of the things i`ve come across on this particular aspect is this,

apparantly the child does in fact spend some time in the astral realm,

and this has been corroberated by actual accounts of people who have had abortions and later been haunted by the spirits of these children,

This can also be accounted for by the many pirctures of ghost children,

The living chidlren of these parents often tell their mothers that they see other chidlren in their households,

the ages and characteristics resembling those of the aborted child,

voices have also been heard by clairvoyants,

the evidence is to say the least....more than overwhelming.

Thank you for your reply,

Your comments are very interesting,

I am quite familiar with the aspect of astral shells.

One of the ideas i was pondering was on the subject of desire and emotion,

as we well know the astral realm is the realm of emotion and desire,

I was pondering on the idea of the spirit after being negated its entry into the physical realm by abortion,

would spend some time in the astral dissipating its desire for existence in the physical realm.

My thoughts come from the observation of how the spirit fist creates a mental body and then through desire and emotion creates an astral body,

hence the way back up would be the same way down...so to speak (my thought comes from the idea that a spirit would not skip a realm automatically),

Now on the aspect of intelligence apparent in the astral creature....do you have any comments of where that intelligence comes from?

It depends upon the progress achieved during this evolutionary cycle regarding reconstruction of the soul in question. We have seven souls or bodies that correspond to the seven realms or planes that make up the densest parts of this 1st kosmic sub-plane. The lower Quaternary are the souls in question and they are finite. They are rebuilt and destroyed with each incarnation. Adonis is correct when he says the way down is the way up, in reverse, but he has the mechanism wrong. The bodies during the incarnation are latent, like a seed before germinating. As the child grows to adult the bodies unfold, experience and karma are recorded. If there is little or no experience in the physical/etheric body, there wont be any in the higher bodies. The so called, death is not an immediate return to the "Causal" or higher mental plane like Nicolas implies but 3 "deaths" on the return upwards in reverse order. Each ascending plane is more real and alive for the ascending Ego than each lower plane just vacated, the time spent on each plane is in proportion to the experience gained in the Physical world. This is an approximation of the cycle of return for the average Human. As the physical body dissipates and it's shell the etheric body returns to the Earth (approximately 10-20 years) the Ego Lives on the astral plane. When the Astral body disintegrates (200-500 years) the Ego lives on the mental plane. When the Mental body disintegrates (500-8,000 years) the Ego returns to it's homebase the Causal Plane, where it stores the best and noblest experience's of it's recent incarnation, it goes further but I won't go into that. There are astral and mental shells just as there are physical corpora that survive after the consciousness has left that particular vehicle or body but these are short lived .These could have dire consequence's if they manage to survive when the Ego recommences incarnation..

thank you michael for your reply....

¨If there is little or no experience in the physical/etheric body, there wont be any in the higher bodies.¨quote.

from what I understand it is the karma and desire that pulls down the soul form devachan to the worlds of form and matter,

and in this respect that situation would have to be remedied in some way before it can go back up,

my conclusion is that the spirit doesn`t go back up from the astral but simply waits there until a new opportunity arises from a host (mother and father in the physical realm) that will meet its karmic and emotional fullfilment for a life in the physical realm,

the other thing is that the astral has seven subplanes and the spirit may well wait in the higher astral subplanes for a second opportunity to incarnate.

The following is from an article by blavatsky,

it gives further explanation on the matter.

I will now give extracts from Isis and proceed to explain every passage criticized, wherein it was said that "a few fragments of this mysterious doctrine of reincarnation as distinct from metempsychosis"--would be then presented. Sentences now explained are in italics.

Reincarnation i.e., the appearance of the same individual, or rather of his astral monad, twice on the same p1anet is not a rule in nature, it is an exception, like the teratological phenomenon of a two-headed infant. It is preceded by a violation of the laws of harmony of nature, and happens only when the latter seeking to restore its disturbed equilibrium, violently throws back into earth-life the astral monad which had been tossed out of the circle of necessity by crime or accident. Thus in cases of abortion, of infants dying before a certain age, and of congenital and incurable idiocy, nature's original design to produce a perfect human being, has been interrupted. Therefore, while the gross matter of each of these several entities is suffered to disperse itself at death, through the vast realm of being, the immortal spirit and astral monad of the individual--the latter having been set apart to animate a frame and the former to shed its divine light on the corporeal organization--must try a second time to carry out the purpose of the creative intelligence. (Isis I, 351.)
Here the "astral monad" or body of the deceased personality--say of John or Thomas--is meant. It is that which, in the teachings of the Esoteric philosophy of Hinduism, is known under its name of bhoot; in the Greek philosophy is called the simulacrum or umbra, and in all other philosophies worthy of the name is said, as taught in the former, to disappear after a certain period more or less prolonged in Kama-loka--the Limbus of the Roman Catholics, or Hades of the Greeks. It is "a violation of the laws of harmony of nature," though it be so decreed by those of Karma--every time that the astral monad, or the simulacrum of the personality--of John or Thomas--instead of running down to the end of its natural period of time in a body--finds itself (a) violently thrown out of it by whether early death or accident; or (b) is compelled in consequence of its unfinished task to re-appear (i.e., the same astral body wedded to the same immortal monad) on earth again, in order to complete the unfinished task. Thus "it must try a second time to carry out the purpose of creative intelligence" or law.

If reason has been so far developed as to become active and discriminative there is no (immediate) reincarnation on the earth, for the three parts of the triune man have been united together, and he is capable of running the race. But when the new being has not passed beyond the condition of Monad, or when, as in the idiot, the trinity has not been completed on earth and therefore cannot be so after death,

the immortal spark which illuminates it has to re-enter on the earthly plane as it was frustrated in its first attempt. Otherwise,

the mortal or astral,

and the immortal or divine souls, could not progress in unison and pass onward to the sphere above (Devachan).

Spirit follows a line parallel with that of matter; and the spiritual evolution goes hand in hand with the physical.

The Ego or Divine spirit as you refer to it, doesn't descend into the lower worlds. It streams down a ray. In the newborn,( because that's what I thought we were talking about,) the astral body isn't developed yet. So there aren't any emotions to anchor it to the astral plane, just as there aren't any mental thoughts to anchor it to that plane either. Thoughts are things, they have mass in their respective worlds or planes, it's the ratio of energy expended within each world or plane and it's consequent karma that determines the length of our stay in whichever world we choose to enjoy. The urge to incarnate is the curiosity and need for experience, so it can complete it's Human evolution of the Ego.
It seems rather intuitively clear to me that whether it's a fetus, infant, young adult or senior citizen the pathways taken by the body, mind and soul, at death, will all be structurallly the same. What will vary is the time that must then be spent at the various plane levels, with that period being shortened in instances of "pre-mature" death.

Exactly. You get out what you put in. The exceptional cases differ. Example, suicide is self inflicted and the individual is suspended either in the higher etheric or lower astral until the equivalent time spent on the Earth is balanced. This is one cause of people seeing ghosts. Murdered people like fetus's have a short incarnation and are compensated for their lost opportunity but that unfortunate happening could be Karmically inspired.
Dare I point out that "HPB said so" would not be accepted as meaningful argument in any logic course at any university, and I don't believe even she would want her writings to be viewed as the final word on any issue. Most of the post-death scenarios I'm reading here involve adjustments in time, not pathways, for pre-maturely deceased fetuses, infants, etc. Until someone presents much more compelling arguments, I stand by my belief that post-death pathways for body, mind, soul of all beings are similar. It is the experiences and duration within those pathways that are varied.
Interestingly put, michaelcarlo!!☺ Thanks!!☺
>"soul in question"---'Soul', it is my understanding that it should be called 'soul' when the ego incarnates and 'spirit' when it disincarnates.

>"the Ego Lives on the astral plane. When the Astral body disintegrates (200-500 years).."---This begs the question...What is our understanding of 'years'??-☺ Is the understanding of 'time' in the physical plane compatible to what 'time' in reality is in the upper world?

Aha michaelcarlo-☺...>"...but that unfortunate happening could be Karmically inspired."---I believe this explains a reason why some human beings are denied the privilege of serving as vehicles to give an ego the opportunity to re-incarnate. In other words, they are denied same privileges they denied others...; they are denied the privilege of offering the ego the opportunity of furthering its evolution...The infallible law of 'Cause and Effect' always in motion..., most of the time very slowly, so it seems.., but steady and with perfect equilibrium...
