Event Description

Are fairies real? Many well-respected clairvoyants and seers have attested to the reality of joyous nature spirits whose lives are inseparably entwined with the processes of nature. But how can we befriend these delightful creatures and help them in their work? By building them lovely houses to live in, of course! Children (of all ages) will enjoy using
their loving imaginations to help the inhabitants of an unseen world, and share with them the pure joy of nature.

Come join the magic and fun of "A Day of Enchantment" as we learn a bit about these spirits of nature and their unseen world. We'll meet in SE Denver, then take a short, easy hike to a small sandy beach in a wooded area on the banks of Cherry Creek. Using materials that we find in nature such as fallen twigs and sticks, leaves, rocks and pebbles, pinecones, feathers, shells and whatever nature
offers up, we'll construct simple and natural shelters for the fairies to enjoy.

Children can start their collection now, searching for building materials found on the ground, and bring their collection with them. Because the fairies love nature so very much, they ask that we only use materials that have already fallen, and that we never harm a living plant or animal.

After we've built our fairy houses, we'll head back to the clubhouse for lunch and popsicles.

When: Saturday, June 20, 2009 , 10:00 am – 12:30 pm (end time approximate)

Where:
Cherry Creek Meadows Clubhouse
